There is nothing quite like going home for the holidays. Everyone does, it, even the rich and famous.
Keanu Reeves was recently spotted at LAX Airport, and he appeared to be arriving there for the holidays. The dapper 50-year-old actor has been seen running errands in New York City recently as well, but his trip home for Christmas got us thinking about some pertinent relationship advice for women.
How do you handle going home for the holidays when you have a new boyfriend? When you’re single, the holidays can be really unpleasant to say the least. Not only are you subjected to countless questions about your lack of a boyfriend or husband, but you might also be feeling lonely and sad.
What happens when you’ve got a new love? Do you bring him home for the holidays? The answer isn’t so simple, especially when the relationship is new. Here is some relationship advice for women and going home for the holidays:
- Has he met your family before? If he has met your family, then why not bring him home for Hanukkah or Christmas? If he hasn’t met your family, then you probably don’t want to bring him into the mix quite yet. The holidays are a great time to be with loved ones, but the season is also stressful and lots of crazy comes out – even from the best of us!
- How long have you been dating? If you’ve only been dating for a couple of weeks, then you probably shouldn’t bring him home for the holidays. If you have been dating for over a month, you might consider it. You want to make sure that the relationship is going somewhere before you bring him home to bond with your little brother and parents.
- Do you want to spend the holidays together? Ask yourself this question honestly. If you don’t want to spend the holidays with him, then you don’t need to bring him to your parents’ home. If you can’t imagine spending another second without him, then it might be worth the trip!
We want to know your story. How long have you waited before asking a guy to come home for the holidays with you?
